Family Quilts

After my mom passed away in May of 2013, I was at a loss as to what to do with her 150+ sweatshirts!  She loved sweatshirts and wore them at every special occasion and holiday.  She had Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, card playing, moose sleeping, bird watching, cruise taking sweatshirts.  So, I decided to make a quilt for myself, my two brothers, and her 10 grandchildren.  What may have appeared like a daunting task, was healing for me.  It was a way to keep her in our lives, her quirkiness, her humor, her passions.  It was an honor to work on these and complete them.  A true labor of love.  Miss you mom.
